TITLE:

No DisplayPort audio function with mini DisplayPort to HDMI Dongle

SYMPTOM:

The user connects the HDMI monitor with the AMD FirePro 2460 Adapter via the mini DisplayPort to HDMI Dongle.  The user will observe that the DisplayPort audio window will display that the AMD DisplayPort Output as “Not plugged in".

SOLUTION:

None.

WORKAROUND:

The user should connect the AMD FirePro 2460 Adapter via the mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Dongle to a Display Port monitor.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The AMD FirePro 2460 does not support HDMI audio.
