TITLE:
System displays "0190: Critical low-battery error" during boot and shutdown even with normal battery capacity
SYMPTOM:
The system will display a message, "0190: Critical low-battery error", during boot and shutdown even with normal battery capacity. When the system was shutdown under the DC mode and idle, then powered on (still without AC), the above error message may display and the system will shutdown automatically.

SYSTEM IS CONFIGURED WITH:
BIOS version (HEET31WW 1.12)
OPERATING SYSTEMS:
All Operating Systems
SOLUTION:
The user should update the BIOS to the latest version, 1.14, from the Lenovo eSupport web site at the following URLs:

WORKAROUND:
The following steps may be temporary workaround to resolve this issue:
1. Unplug the battery/AC adapter.
2. Plug in the AC adapter first.
3. Plug in the battery behind the AC adapter present.
4. Power on and the message will disappear.
