TITLE:
ThinkPad Helix UltraPortable system with McAfee Endpoint Encryption software
SYMPTOM:
The McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PC’s (EEPC) 7.0 will not install or allow booting of the ThinkPad Helix.
AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:

SYSTEM IS CONFIGURED WITH:
McAfee Endpoint Encryption version 7.0, or later
OPERATING SYSTEMS:
Microsoft Windows 7
Microsoft Windows 8
SOLUTION:
McAfee and Lenovo have jointly tested the Helix platform using both the UEFI and Keyboard firmware (1.14) in conjunction with McAfee EEPC 7.0 Patch
1 HF 882104.
The results of our joint testing were positive and show the platform to be working correctly. McAfee recommends that Helix and EEPC users perform the firmware upgrades and obtain EEPC 7.0 Patch 1 HF 882104 or wait for EEPC
7.0 Patch 2 to be released.
WORKAROUND:
The user should obtain the latest BIOS and MPU firmware updates from Lenovo as well as latest EEPC patch from McAfee support.
