Cracks to the Palmrest assembly on ThinkPad T520 and W520

SYMPTOM:
Some users may experience cracks to the Palmrest assembly of their ThinkPad
T520 or W520 systems as shown in the pictures below.

ThinkPad T520 (MT 4239, 4240, 4241, 4242, 4243, 4244, 4246) ThinkPad W520 (MT 4249, 4260, 4270, 4276, 4281, 4282, 4284)

SOLUTION:
Replace the existing Palmrest assembly with a new part using the following FRU substitutions:

FRU Palmrest ASM (no FPR, no CS) 04W6728
(replace with 04X3735)
FRU Palmrest ASM (no FPR, CS) 04W6729
(replace with 04X3736)
FRU Palmrest ASM (FPR, no CS) 04W6730
(replace with 04X3737)
FRU Palmrest ASM (FPR, CS)
04W6731 (replace with 04X3738)
FRU Palmrest ASM (FPR, no CS) for no SC 04W6732 (replace
with 04X3739)
