TITLE:
Recovery Partition size may be increased when the Recovery DVD is used to recover the system - ThinkPad Tablet 2

SYMPTOM:
The Recovery Partition size may increase to approximately 20GB if the system is recovered by the Recovery DVD. The user will experience this issue when they recover the system using RDVD and then check the partition size in the Disk Management.

AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:
ThinkPad

AFFECTED SYSTEMS:
ThinkPad Tablet 2

SYSTEM IS CONFIGURED WITH:
Recovery DVD

OPERATING SYSTEMS:
Microsoft Windows 8

SOLUTION:
The user should utilize the following Recovery USB key to recover the ThinkPad Tablet 2:

· For Microsoft Windows 8 32-bit 64GB English, use FRU
00EW534.
· For Microsoft Windows 8 32-bit 64GB Japanese, use FRU
00EW524.

WORKAROUND:
The user can increase the user disk space by removing the recovery partition space by creating the recovery drive from the recovery partition.
This can be performed by clicking on “Recovery” and then click on “Create a recovery drive” in the Control Panel.

NOTE: Be sure to check “Copy the recovery partition from the PC to the recovery disk” in the “Create a recovery drive” dialog window.
